Inspired by MIT research on how AI reshapes our thinking

The AI that actually challenges your child

Other AIs do your kid's thinking for them. Milana asks the questions, sparks the guesses, and lets the lightbulb light up in their head — not on the screen.

Watch a question turn into real thinking

A real Milana conversation about why we dream. No answers handed over — every one is earned.

Why it matters

When the AI thinks, young brains switch off

A 2025 MIT Media Lab study measured people's brain activity while they wrote with and without an AI assistant. Those who leaned on the AI showed the weakest brain connectivity and remembered the least — the researchers called it building “cognitive debt.” Kids are most at risk. Milana is built to do the opposite: to make the brain work, not rest.

Typical AI

“Here's the full answer.” Your child copies it and moves on. Nothing sticks.

Milana

“What do you think — and why?” Your child reasons, guesses, and remembers it for good.

How it works

Three simple moves, every single time

1

Your child asks anything

From “why is the sky blue?” to “why do we dream?” — curiosity is always welcome, never judged.

2

Milana asks back

Instead of dumping an answer, Milana responds with a question, a guess or a tiny challenge tuned to your child's age.

3

They discover it themselves

Milana guides them to the answer step by step — so the “aha!” belongs to your child, and actually sticks.

Why Milana

Built to grow minds, not screen time

Asks before it answers

A Socratic coach in your child's pocket — every reply nudges them to think one step further.

Guesses, games & challenges

Quizzes, “what would happen if…” and friendly bets keep learning feeling like play, not homework.

Grows with your child

Milana adapts its language and difficulty as your child gets older and bolder.

Calm, not addictive

No autoplay, no doom-scroll, no dark patterns. Designed to satisfy curiosity, then let them go play.

Our safety promise

Built slowly, for your child — not for our profit

Milana exists to help children think, not to harvest their attention or their data. We'd rather move slowly and earn your trust than rush to scale. Here's what we commit to, in writing:

Safety over speed

We welcome a few families at a time so we can watch, listen and fix things before we grow. No child is a growth metric.

Private by design

Conversations are EU-hosted and GDPR-first. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't train on your child's chats without clear consent.

Designed to let go

No autoplay, no streaks, no manipulative loops. Milana satisfies the curiosity, then sends your child back to the real world.

For parents

The screen time you won't feel guilty about

You don't need to choose between “no devices” and “rotting their brain.” Milana is the rare in-between: time on a screen that genuinely makes your child sharper.

EU-hosted & privacy-first

Data stays in the EU, GDPR by default. We sell nothing and serve no ads.

Age-appropriate guardrails

Safe, kind, and tuned to your child's age — with topics you can trust.

You stay in the loop

See what your child is curious about and how their thinking is growing.

Good to know

Questions parents ask first

How is Milana different from other AI chatbots?

Most AI chatbots hand over answers. Milana asks your child questions, invites guesses and reveals answers only after they've reasoned — so the thinking happens in their head.

Is it safe and private for kids?

Yes. Milana is privacy-first and EU-hosted, with age-appropriate guardrails, no ads and no data selling.

What age is Milana for?

Milana adapts to children roughly 5–12, scaling its language and challenges as they grow. Tell us your child's age when you join.
